Pouya Asrar - Thermal Scientist and Advanced Packaging Specialist

Advanced packaging specialist Pouya Asrar is a senior manager at Samsung. Since December 2022, he has overseen the development of packaging solutions for various clients and day-to-day engagements. Pouya Asrar collaborates with sales and engineering partners to ensure a streamlined operational process that meets the client’s and company’s objectives.

Previously, Dr. Asrar served as a thermal scientist at Amazon Inc. He worked within the Alexa team on product testing and validation, simulation, and consumer devices, especially smart home device analysis. He also interned at Tesla Motors Inc as a thermal engineer from January 2018 to August 2018.

Dr. Pouya Asrar leverages his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering, along with certifications in semiconductor packaging and programming, to deliver cross-functional technical coordination, expertise, and support. Moreover, he has built expertise in designing thermal setups, associated validations, and risk assessments necessary to deliver advanced packaging customer engagement and program leadership.
